Summary
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Region, George Rogers Clark National Historical Park, Vincennes, Indiana. Responsibilities include providing facility management with diversified infrastructure and operational complexity.
Major Duties
The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as member of the management team in support of park unit initiatives. Reports to the Superintendent. Manages complex projects, develops scopes of work, budget estimates, and 5-year planning documents. Collaborates with park team and partners to develop and achieve park, program and projects goals. Initiates actions and serves as the liaison for compliance of environmental/cultural issues related to project proposals and park operations. Maintains contracting officer representative (COR) accreditation and prepares annual work budget plans for maintenance operations. Determines trades, materials and equipment applicable to facility maintenance and operations within the park unit. Exercises full range of supervisory duties of subordinates for permanent, seasonal, youth workers, and volunteers. Recruits and makes selection of employees; makes the recommendation of promotions, reassignments, and other personnel actions.
