Position Summary:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist will conduct environmental, safety and fire inspections; maintain the environmental health and safety (EHS) records; assist with maintaining procedures and programs to minimize EHS risks; and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintaining:
- Environmental Management System
- SDS Raw Material Input
- Equipment Input
- Waste Stream Input
- Process Mapping
- Compliance Database Software for the facilities
- EHS Recordkeeping
- HAZCOM Program
- Chemical Inventories
- Collect and synthesize the data derived from pollution emission measurements, atmospheric monitoring, meteorological and mineralogical information, and soil or water samples
- Maintain the wastewater treatment operations
- Schedule environmental production service requests
- Provide daily, monthly, and annual training on EHS topics
- Prepare graphs, charts, and statistical models from synthesized data.
- EHS compliance audits and inspections:
- Emergency eyewash and shower inspections
- Confined space inventories
- Lockout tagout audits
- Machine specific procedures/posted
- First Aid kit inspections and medical inventory supply checks
- Portable and fixed ladder inspections
- Emergency equipment and first response inspections
- PPE signage audits
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Work indoors, outside, and on elevated areas
- temperature extremes ranging from 30°F- 100°F
- Walk distances of over 1 mile
- Work in safety sensitive areas
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. at a time
- Frequently bend, sit, stand, reach, walk, squat, kneel, climb, and stand on the manufacturing floor for the entire workday
