Summary
This position is located at Virgin Islands National Park, in the Division of Visitor & Resource Protection. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 11.88% is authorized.
Major Duties
Manage daily fee operations, including collection, safeguarding, reconciliation, deposits, and expenditures. Maintain POS systems, automated fee machines, reservation platforms, and related technologies; troubleshoot and coordinate IT/vendor support. Train staff, volunteers, and partners on fee policies, procedures, systems, security, and internal controls. Analyze fee data, identify trends, and recommend operational, policy, or procedural improvements. Conduct and coordinate fee audits; monitor risk and implement internal controls. Support pricing analysis, comparability studies, financial reviews, and budget planning/execution. Develop fee program communications, digital content, reports, and public-facing materials. Coordinate visitor use surveys; analyze visitor data and feedback; recommend service and program adjustments. Manage fee waivers, exemptions, backcountry permits, and academic/research requests. Draft project proposals, estimates, and documentation; coordinate fee-funded projects; serve as COR for related contracts. Review, evaluate, and implement third-party agreements and partnerships. Maintain records for accountability, inventory, stock, chargebacks, reconciliation, and deposits. Resolve complex fee, reservation, refund, and accounting issues; review and correct system settings and transactions. Provide front-line visitor services, issue passes and permits, operate POS systems, and conduct fee compliance checks. Transport revenue securely and ensure accurate, timely Treasury deposits. Represent the park in community and partner engagements; participate on teams and committees.
