What You'll Do:
Here are some of the tasks you'll be responsible for daily:
- Research, collect, and analyze data on composting and other sustainability initiatives inside and outside of Airlie
- Plan, execute, and track progress on composting and sustainability initiatives and projects
- Use analytics and visualizations to convey sustainability data
- Shadow multiple department members to gain understandings of individual roles in the department
- Assist with projects, programs, or services to execute department objectives
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Acquire an understanding of the business environment, conduct, compliance, and ethics of Airlie
- Participates in team sustainability meeting and drafts report outs for the employee newsletter sustainability corner
- Tracks outcomes from existing efforts to reduce food and plastic waste on property
- Potential to work with finance and accounting teams on vendor reviews and sustainability improvements from utility sourcing, trash and recycling vendors, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field
- Experience using Microsoft Suite
- Proficient computer skills and financial acumen
- Possess a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
- Knowledge of recycling programs, corporate or community sustainability initiatives including communications preferred

This position will require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
This position will require moving for 90% of the time sometimes in varying temperatures
