GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking an Environmental Program Manager to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN.
- Provides technical review of permit applications and supporting documents, technical reports, and compliance plans as applicable to UPF project.
- Provides technical review/support to UPF engineering and operations which includes membership on TCCB Board, reviewing drawings, ECPS, providing regulatory design guidance and operational procedure technical reviews/input.
- Coordinates with Y-12 program subject matter experts and provide support too BNI ES&H and BNI Construction and startup teams in regard to regulatory guidance and coordination of Env. compliance reach back services, generator services (waste) coordination of disposal of unanticipated discoveries.
- Provides technical Information and updates on progress of UPF environmental program elements to customer (UPO).
- Reviews correspondence related to UPF and regulatory agencies and coordinates UPF responses.
- Provides oversight to BNI ESH team, construction and start up departments inclusive of document reviews, meeting attendance, and field walks.
- Performs formal assessments which include field and document verifications.
- Relevant experience should reflect environmental compliance related work activities, including demonstrated experience working with federal and/or state environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental engineering or physical science and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
