Job Summary
This student employment position will support the Environmental Health and Safety department with various tasks related to campus compliance of safety and building regulations. This includes assisting with routine safety inspections, working to update signage and training materials related to various safety topics and programs, chemical inventory management, updating campus maps and documentation. This position may also help sort universal waste such as batteries, ballasts, and other non-hazardous chemicals. The student will be trained to work with universal waste and chemicals as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic computer literacy (experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, Word) Availability between M-F, 8:30am-4pm. Preferred availability in 2 hour plus blocks of time
Preferred Qualifications
interest in safety, compliance, or organization operations. interest or experience in creating documents and promotional materials in Canva or other online design platforms Experience or interest in working with chemicals, chemistry, or biological materials. Experience or interest in developing data and project management skills.
