Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a community Engagement manager or equivalent position with experience in the following areas: · Event Planning · Graphic Design, layout · Communications/Marketing · Media Relations
- Experience in a renewable-energy or related energy organization/association is a plus
- Experience working with First Nations and Indigenous Groups would be considered desirable
- Experience working in renewable energy in Ontario would be considered desirable
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Leadership and management experience .
- fluency in French language will be considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Takes initiative, is self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Microsoft Office and Teams, SAP & Salesforce a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public speaking experience
- Able to demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires multi- tasking.
- Able to demonstrate strong work habits, including but not limited to good attendance.
- Able to demonstrate experience dealing successfully with peers, subordinates, management, and unaffiliated third parties.
- Able to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions:
60% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 40% of time is spent outside of the office traveling to EDF offices, project sites, and the corporate office, in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.
