General Purpose:
Initiate and coordinate all Environmental, Health and Safety programs. Ensure that GLOCK facilities meet or exceed OSHA, EPA, EPD, DOT and NFPA standards.
Shift(s) Available:
7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Conduct root cause investigations of all OSHA recordable injuries and near misses with the EHS Manager.
Investigate and resolve employee health and safety concerns with the EHS Manager
Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings with EHS Manager and Safety committee members.
Responsible for daily RCRA operations, HAZCOM and HAZWOPER operations
Conduct Environmental audits of GLOCK facilities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Conduct audits of SPCC & SWPPP operations- ensure compliance with all Regulatory agencies.
Conduct inspections of ABG and UST storage tanks and ensure compliance with EPA law.
Ensure all hazardous material areas are correctly placarded IAW GHS standards.
Conduct safety inspections of all buildings daily, documenting all findings.
Report all significant findings of the facility walkthroughs to the EHS Manager daily.
Ensures site compliance with all ISO14001 & ISO 45001 training needs and audits and inspections.
Perform Safety Orientations for new hires.
Have working knowledge of NIMS and will serve as Deputy Emergency Coordinator for GLOCK facilities
Perform/Coordinate safety training for applicable employees to meet annual and intermittent requirements, including Hot Work, Lockout/Tagout, Powered Industrial Truck Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, First Responder Training, Hearing Conservation, Hazardous Material Training, and Fire Extinguisher Training etc.
Coordinate defensive driving program, ensuring all company drivers have completed the course.
Coordinate emergency evacuation, medical emergency, severe weather and Active shooter drills
Coordinate Audiometric Tests, Air Quality Tests, Respiratory Fit Tests and Medical Evaluations.
Perform/Coordinate inspections of company emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, fall protection equipment, powered industrial trucks, emergency lighting systems, emergency flashlights, AEDs, and sprinkler system risers, and document these inspections.
Maintain/Post required Safety signage throughout GLOCK buildings.
Conduct certification training of all powered Industrial trucks and aerial lifts IAW appropriate OSHA regulations
Coordinate/Perform inventory and stocking of first aid kits and trauma kits at all locations.
Work closely with OSHA and EPA specialized vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and to resolve any serious incidents to the advantage of our employees and GLOCK, Inc.
Cost Conscious and works within an approved budget
Monitor the health of the workforce through Lead & Silica Program, Respiratory protection, Pandemic operations
Develop and implement cost saving measures
Conserve organizational resources
Travel occasionally.
Assist in the analysis of Industrial Hygiene testing in support of the EHS program
Effectively prioritize, organize time and multitask numerous projects at one time.
Provide guidance, training and assistance in the GLOCK Ergonomic program
Creatively solve problems
Provide training in all Environmental, Healthy and Safety topics to Directors, Managers, Supervisors and employees
Continuous Improvement skills needed to maintain ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 requirements.
Must be able to maintain proficiency in all EHS matters pertaining to regulatory requirement.
Responsible for meeting/exceeding all NFPA requirements along with Local and state compliance fire regulatory requirements.
Conduct ISO 14001/45001 audits and ensure compliance in all departments
Support all other duties as required for mission support.

A two-year college degree and/or related experience and/or training
Knowledgeable of OSHA Standards 1910 & 1926 Series along with EPA 40CFR is required
Experienced with Environmental programs, RCRA, UST, ABG, SPCC, SWPPP.
General office and telephone skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

First aid certification
Achieve ISO 14001/45001 auditor status
Licenses and Certifications:
Powered Industrial truck and aerial lift trainer/instructor certified
Valid & current Driver’s License
CSP/ASP

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift and carry boxes of up to 50 pounds. Must be able to walk through the facilities and departments to conduct thorough regulatory EHS inspections.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours. Some weekends may be required to fulfil regulatory requirements.
