Ballard Mining Ltd is an exploration company exploring for Gold in the Eastern Goldfields with a current resource of 1.2Moz @3.0g/t Au.
We are currently seeking an Environmental Officer to join our team on a permanent basis, working day shift on an 8:6 roster. FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
Our Mt Ida Project is rapidly progressing towards mining with a developed camp situated an hour’s drive from Menzies. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the mining industry at an entry level position or build experience of environmental compliance in the exploration and mining industry.
This role will work closely with the site and projects teams and undertake environmental management activities on site, ensuring compliance with environmental approvals and site procedures.
Key functions of the role:
- Management, analysis and reporting of compliance records and data including rehabilitation activities across our exploration group.
- Support long-term environmental monitoring programs through compliance conditions and
commitments.
- Production of maps, spatial analyses, and reports to support environmental compliance,
approvals, operational planning, and decision-making.
- Collaborate continuous improvement of Company environmental management processes.
- GIS experience is desirable.
About you:
- Ability to work in remote camp environment.
- Manual C-Class driver’s licence.
- Ability to pass Fit for Work Medical (including D&A) and police check.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and interpret data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, whilst being part of a well-developed team.
- Experience in field operations will be highly regarded.
