At GlobalConnect, Sustainability is already an established part of how we operate. We have made significant progress within circularity, decarbonization, and ESG reporting. Now, we're looking for a Head of Sustainability who will help take the next step: embedding Sustainability even deeper into our business strategy, decision-making, and company culture.
This is an opportunity to lead meaningful changes in a company that plays an important and critical role in the digital infrastructure supporting societies across Northern Europe. To succeed in this role, you likely have:
- +7 years extensive experience leading and driving ESG and sustainability initiatives in a complex and performance driven business environment.
- Strong expertise in ESG, particularly within circularity, decarbonization, sustainability, and GHG reporting.
- A proven ability to define Sustainability ambitions and strategy and translate into commercial realities, and eventually executing and operationalizing it across the organization.
- Experience leading teams and driving change across complex organizations.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Danish.
On top of the above, it is considered an advantage if you have experience from telecom, critical infrastructure, or similar industries.
About the role and the team
As Head of Sustainability, you will lead a smaller senior team of two employees while working closely with colleagues across the business and collaborating with external consultants when needed. Your mission is to ensure that Sustainability becomes an even more integrated part of how GlobalConnect operates and makes decisions.
You'll play a key role in strengthening our Sustainability culture by building engagement across the organization, establishing a network of ESG champions and ambassadors, and ensuring that sustainability remains closely connected to our business priorities.
What you'll be working on:
- Lead the continued development and execution of GlobalConnect's Sustainability strategy.
- Embed Sustainability into business planning, decision-making and everyday operations.
- Drive initiatives within circularity, decarbonization and ESG reporting.
- Coach and develop your team while remaining an active part in the day-to-day projects.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization to create lasting business impact.
- Build and support an internal network of Sustainability champions and ambassadors.
Who you are
You enjoy combining strategic leadership with operational execution and are comfortable switching between advising senior stakeholders and supporting your team. You understand that successful Sustainability work is about creating business value as much as environmental impact.
You build trust across functions, communicate with confidence and know how to engage others in change. Rather than acting as an ESG evangelist, you combine a strong commitment to sustainability with a pragmatic business mindset and know how to create engagement across the organization.

- Location: Copenhagen, Denmark.
- This role follows our hybrid way of working with at least three days per week in the office.
