Our client is seeking an Outage Reactor Coolant System Mechanical Technician for a shutdown for a nuclear plant. Previous nuclear power plant experience is non-negotiable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Reactor Coolant System (RCS) maintenance activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

The role is responsible for supporting maintenance scope execution, complex troubleshooting, engineering evaluations, operability determinations, and temporary modifications throughout the planning, execution, and post-closeout phases of outage and maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, overhaul, testing, and repair of Reactor Coolant/Cooling System (RCS) equipment.
Carry out maintenance on RCS components, including pumps, valves, piping, flanges, supports, and associated mechanical equipment.
Perform dismantling, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly, alignment, and functional testing using approved procedures.
Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality assurance, Permit to Work, LOTO, FME, and radiation protection requirements.
Promote a strong nuclear safety culture while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and quality.

Requirements:

Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Mechanical maintenance inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities (nuclear power plant non-negotiable).
Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
Proven experience as an RCS Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Technician.
Strong experience working on Reactor Coolant System (RCS) and associated primary-side equipment.
Experience with Reactor Coolant Pumps (RCP), Steam Generators, Pressuriser systems, Air Operated Valves (AOV), Motor Operated Valves (MOV), and rotating mechanical equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, fault finding, alignment, bolting, flange management, and equipment refurbishment.
Familiarity with nuclear work packages, quality documentation, inspection hold points, and compliance requirements.
