AECOM is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our established Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory team, part of our Building Engineering Business Line, which is recognised as a leader in sustainable development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Sustainability & Carbon services for major public and private sector clients, helping them to design and deliver low-carbon, resilient, and sustainable estates.
This role will span a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education and commercial, but most specifically UK Defence & National Security.
Key Responsibilities
With support from the wider team, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting clients to develop and understand their sustainability & decarbonisation requirements.
- Developing, delivering, and reviewing whole life carbon reduction strategies for a variety of scoping mechanisms (e.g., Greater London Authority, LETI & RIBA, RICS, BREEAM etc.).
- Liaising directly with clients and designers to develop sustainability & decarbonisation strategies at the outset, implementing these from early design through to construction.
- Delivery of assessment certification schemes such as BREEAM and DREAM. LEED and/or WELL experience is advantageous.
- Delivery of sustainability appraisals such as SAW and SEEAM.
- Supporting project management and programming.
- Supporting work winning through the bidding process incl. tender responses.
- Mentoring of junior staff where suitable to help upskilling.

- Due to the nature of the work undertaken, successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance, and ideally have a single UK nationality
