We’re looking for a Channel Partner Estimator to support sales and estimating functions for RMS Energy’s electrical testing and maintenance projects. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational abilities to effectively create accurate, timely, and professionally formatted proposals, coordinate sales documentation, and support project transition to operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage bid opportunities in CRM, including job setup, tracking, and reporting.
- Gather and organize bid documentation, including RFQs, drawings, specifications, and project scope documents
- Review contract documents and prepare scope summaries, terms and conditions, and supporting documentation
- Develop accurate cost estimates and proposals for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Obtain and compile vendor and subcontractor pricing (e.g., cranes, scaffolding, equipment, and specialty services)
- Prepare professional proposal packages, ensuring complete, accurate, and consistent formatting.
- Coordinate internal reviews with Regional Managers, Sales Managers, and other stakeholders prior to proposal submission
- Submit final proposals, update CRM with bid activity and pricing, and maintain accurate sales records
- Coordinate the handoff of awarded projects from Sales to Operations to support a seamless project transition
The Experience We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of inside sales or estimating experience in electrical field service and apparatus testing
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Zoho
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 20% across the continental U.S.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Knowledge of electrical testing and maintenance practices
- Prior experience working in the utility or industrial sector
- Familiarity with municipal or federal bid processes
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors and external vendors
