Portfolio Project Manager – Utility -Scale Solar PV | Cape Town<\/b>

Copper Quail is recruiting on behalf of one of South Africa's leading IPPs — a serious player with a growing portfolio of utility -scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
<\/p>
This is an owner -side leadership role. You'll take a defined portfolio of solar projects from transaction phase right through construction, commissioning, handover and DLP — acting as the owner's representative and keeping delivery, governance and risk firmly under control.

What you'll be doing (in a nutshell):<\/b>
<\/p>
Owner -side delivery assurance across a portfolio of utility -scale Solar PV projects
<\/li>Supporting transactions, financing due diligence, budgeting and construction readiness
<\/li>Driving EPC/BOP procurement, contract negotiation and early works
<\/li>Managing and coordinating Project Managers and site teams through construction
<\/li>Reporting to shareholders, lenders and senior leadership on progress, risk and milestones

<\/p>
What we need from you (the basics):<\/b>
<\/p>
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, QS or similar
<\/li>Compulsory: utility -scale Solar PV development and execution experience on the owner / IPP / developer / owner's engineer side
<\/li>Ideally 10+ years in major engineering or infrastructure projects, with 5+ in renewables in South Africa
<\/li>SACPCMP, ECSA or PMP registration advantageous
<\/li><\/ul>Cape Town based. Fixed -term contract. Travel to project sites as required.
