Summary
This is a Physical Science Technician with the Jewel Cave National Monument. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is October - March, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: October 2026 Open to the first 50 applicants or until 07/20/2026 whichever comes first. Major Duties
Physical Technician Major Duties: Assists in monitoring, mitigating and restoring impacts to cave resources as well as other physical science tasks. Implementation of established natural resource monitoring protocols related to one or more physical sciences in a cave environment. Installs and manages remote monitoring instrumentation and data equipment. Creates maps and instructions for implementing resource protection.
