The core purpose of the Dynamics QA & Application Support Analyst role is to own quality assurance and testing for Dynamics 365 solutions and related business systems. The role ensures that all changes are fit for purpose, stable, secure, production-ready, and aligned to approved business requirements. This includes testing Dynamics 365 configuration, Power Platform components, Power Automate workflows, integrations, AI agents, custom code, security roles, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes.
The role acts as the quality gatekeeper across the delivery lifecycle by designing and executing test plans, identifying and managing defects, driving Playwright-based automated regression testing, supporting UAT, providing release readiness input, and working closely with developers, business analysts, Product, and business users.
This role is critical in minimising errors, improving system performance, strengthening release confidence, supporting application stability, and ensuring a smooth user experience for teams using Dynamics 365 and related systems.
Position of the job in the organisation:
- The Dynamics QA & Application Support Analyst role will report directly to the Product Owner.
Principal responsibilities:
- Ensure all Dynamics 365, Power Platform, integration, and related business system changes are fit for purpose, stable, secure, production-ready, and aligned to approved business requirements before release.
- Define, prepare, and execute structured testing across Dynamics 365 configuration, workflows, automations, integrations, security roles, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes.
- Build, maintain, and report on Playwright automated test scripts to improve repeatable regression testing, reduce manual effort, strengthen test coverage, and provide clear test execution evidence.
- Log, track, manage, and retest defects through to resolution. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and provide clear release readiness input, including go / no-go recommendations, release risks, and quality concerns.
- Support UAT execution, stakeholder confidence, application support investigations, and user feedback loops. Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to support test creation, script maintenance, defect investigation, and testing efficiency.

Experience & Skills
- 3–6 years’ experience in Software QA, Test Analysis, QA Engineering, Dynamics 365 testing, application testing, or a similar role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Must have hands-on Playwright experience, including the ability to build, maintain, execute, troubleshoot, and report on Playwright automated test scripts.
- Experience creating Playwright test reports or interpreting Playwright test execution outputs to support release readiness and regression testing decisions.
- Experience working in Agile environments and Scrum teams.

- Experience testing AI agents, chatbots, Copilot Studio agents, or AI-supported tools.

By month 6
- I can confidently participate in sprint planning, reviews, and release discussions from a QA perspective.
- I take ownership of the tech request board, including triage, prioritisation support, and follow-ups.
- I am the primary point of contact for user support, ensuring issues are tracked, communicated, and resolved.
- I review, update, and keep key testing documentation current.
- I independently test Dynamics 365 changes, Power Automate workflows, integrations, AI agents, and end-to-end business processes.
- I create and maintain test plans, test cases, regression packs, requirement-traceable test scenarios, and UAT scenarios for agreed business processes.
- I build, maintain, execute, and report on Playwright for automated tests for agreed repeatable regression scenarios.
- I use Playwright test outputs and reports to support regression testing, release readiness, and go / no-go input.
- I can identify whether an issue is likely to be a system defect, data issue, integration issue, permission issue, process gap, user error, or training need.
- I support UAT execution by preparing scenarios, assisting users, capturing feedback, logging defects, and tracking retesting.
- I have a solid relationships across the business with users
- I use AI coding assistants effectively to create, maintain, and troubleshoot boilerplate test scripts for Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
By month 12
- I own quality assurance and testing for agreed Dynamics 365, Power Platform, integration, AI agent, and related business system areas.
- I am trusted as a quality gatekeeper across the delivery lifecycle and provide clear release readiness and go / no-go recommendations.
- I maintain strong regression coverage through a combination of manual test packs and Playwright automated regression tests.
- I ensure requirement-to-test traceability is maintained across approved requirements, test scenarios, test cases, defects, automated tests, test evidence, and release records.
- I produce reliable Playwright test reports and test evidence that support release governance, audit readiness, and stakeholder confidence.
- I am confident testing across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environments where applicable and understand the impact of changes across environments.
- I contribute to release pipelines, controlled deployments, test governance, and continuous improvement of the QA process.
- I use AI coding assistants responsibly and effectively to improve test creation, automation productivity, defect investigation, and documentation quality.
- I help reduce recurring issues through stronger testing, automation, root cause analysis, documentation, and feedback loops into Product.
- I actively support the Product Owner, developers, and business users with clear quality insights, user impact considerations, release risks, and improvement opportunities.
- I have built strong working relationships with business users across the organisation and am trusted as a reliable point of contact for application support, testing feedback, and system-related queries.
