Summary
This position located in Assateague Island National Seashore, in the Division of Administration. This is a not-to-exceed 1-year temporary promotion assignment. This temporary promotion may be extended without further competition; however, it may not exceed a total of five years. Open to the first 101 applicants or until 07/17/2026, whichever comes first. Major Duties
As a Supervisory Recreation Fee Technician, you will perform the following duties: Coordinates the day-to-day business operations, to include the collection, deposit, tracking, and expenditure of fees and donations. Provides advisory services regarding noncontroversial matters. Reviews fee collection shift and/or donation records for completeness and accuracy. Supervises staff who provide frontline customer service, orientation, and visitor assistance, improving the overall visitor experience. Supporting operational readiness for campgrounds, beaches, and recreational areas so they remain open and accessible to the public. Ensuring compliance with federal recreation fee policies and accountability standards, which helps sustain park operations and maintenance. Coordinating staffing, training, and resource allocation during peak visitation periods to maintain public access and service quality. Analyzes and evaluates financial data. Monitors the use of existing automated systems. Transports recreation fee revenue collected from fee collection locations.
