Summary: The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of food and beverage operations located at their designated location. Concessions Supervisors will be responsible and take ownership of one or two of City Park’s Concessions venues which could include: Tad Gormley Stadium, Pan American Stadium, the Quadraplex, the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park Concessions, or other locations as assigned. The primary role of this position is to ensure a quality Concessions experience for our guests by providing leadership and oversight to part-time Concessions staff, manage inventory at the location at which the position is assigned, and to provide excellent customer service and exhibit problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for operation and cleanliness of the assigned area.
- Supervise and support team members during daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide clear direction and coaching to team leads and frontline staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all staff members are in proper, clean uniforms andmaintaina professional appearancein accordance withParkpolicies.
- Train, mentor, and guide team members to deliver a high standard of hospitality and service excellence.
- Monitor employee performance,provideon-the-spot guidance, and communicate feedback to management as needed.
- Coordinate staff schedules, breaks, and shift changes to maintain adequate coverage and service levels at all times.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration by encouraging open communication and resolving conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and resolving issues efficiently and courteously.
- Ensure staff adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, creating a safe and compliant workplaceas set forth by Louisiana Health Codes.
- Responsible for overseeing monetary transactions in the operations of each location.
- Works closely with theConcessionsTeam Lead(s) to ensure correct stock levels areaccuratebased on business demands.
- Handles and manages customer complaints and offers resolutions within the guidelines set byCity Park.
- Provide clear, respectful communication anddemonstratestrong interpersonal skills with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Assistwith basic food prep, portioning, and service presentation in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by theDirector of Concessions.
Qualifications and Education requirements:
- High school/ GED with three years’ experience in customer service
- Active driver’s license
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be a passionate leader who can motivate and inspire fellow peers and subordinates.
- Displays effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Displays problem-solving, analyticalabilitiesand a sense of urgency.
- Must obtain SERV Safe Food Handler certification in a reasonable period afterstartof employment.
- Must be able toworka flexible schedule, includingnights andweekends.
- Experience with computerized POSrequired.
- Previousexperience in restaurant and/or hospitality industries.
- Excellentcommunicationsand interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
