Summary
You will serve as a Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL) - Park Guide within the Division of Interpretation, Education and Volunteers You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 2-3 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lower salary range of the grade level. Major Duties
This position is being filled under the Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL). See below under Additional Information for further eligibility guidance. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Staffing information counter in a visitor center. Answering questions on a variety of subjects. Perform duties including pre-established programs that require application of broad subject matter knowledge of the park. Guide large groups (20 or more) on longer walks or programs. Provide a wide range of services to park visitors. Present limited and repetitive pre-established talks including introductions to films, map talks, static exhibits and interpretive props. Interpret Park values for visitors with varying interest and backgrounds.
