Senior Buyer
Location: Geismar, LA
Duration: 6months to begin

• Supports the Procurement Lead with the sourcing and procurement of goods and services in accordance with company policies, procedures and strategies
•Manages the administration of labor contracts
•Provides guidance and support to the Vendor Sponsors and Vendor Key Contacts. Experience of procurement (procure to pay cycle), of plant spares (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and equipment
•5 years Procurement/Contracts or related experience
•3 years' experience supporting Turnarounds and Capital Projects
•Negotiates the acquisition of goods and services for normal operations and Turnarounds at optimum cost.
• Proven working knowledge of contract law, insurance law and tendering processes
• Knowledge of computerized procurement management system
