TPI is the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint, producing advanced composite products for leading wind energy customers worldwide. We are seeking Production Associates to join our team at our Newton, Iowa facility.
In this role, you will help manufacture high-quality composite wind turbine blades in a fast-paced, safety-focused production environment. Successful candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, committed to quality workmanship, and eager to contribute to the growth of renewable energy.
(Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Safely manufacture composite wind turbine blade components according to quality and production standards.
- Cut fiberglass materials using templates, blueprints, cutting equipment, scissors, and knives.
- Lay fiberglass materials and core components in molds according to engineering specifications and ply schedules.
- Apply composite resins, adhesives, and other production materials safely and accurately.
- Perform vacuum bagging processes and prepare components for curing.
- Trim, drill, grind, sand, and finish composite parts to required specifications using hand and power tools.
- Assemble components and subassemblies using fixtures, jigs, fasteners, and production equipment.
- Operate cranes, hand tools, pneumatic tools, palm sanders, and other manufacturing equipment as required.
- Apply fillers, coatings, and paint materials to finished products.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, vocational training, technical training, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, follow verbal and written work instructions, and perform basic math calculations, including reading a tape measure.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work 8 to 12-hour shifts and manage multiple priorities in a production setting.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, and respirators.
- Experience using manual, electric, and pneumatic tools in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or skilled trades environment preferred.

- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment with exposure to heat, humidity, fiberglass dust, noise, and manufacturing chemicals.
