In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Leads complex product environmental compliance (PEC) programs, managing priorities and timelines while driving execution with minimal oversight.
- Develops and maintains resources (regulatory alerts, presentations, training materials, web pages) on global PEC laws in conjunction with the legal and training teams.
Drives alignment with quality and governance expectations through coaching and shared best practices.
- Independently analyzes laws, regulatory requirements, and technical standards related to PEC and translates them into practical guidance and action plans for Emerson businesses.
- Monitors the global regulatory environment, anticipates regulatory trends, and leads impact assessments to inform compliance strategies.
- Acts as a trusted compliance advisor to business engineering, supply chain, and product/project management teams, supporting strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Industrial Automation and Control (IAMC) products and materials, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain considerations, and applies this expertise to proactively address complex compliance challenges.
- Provides operational support by assisting with process improvements and issue resolution to ensure efficient operations and the consistent delivery of high‑quality outcomes.
- Oversees staff performance and development by managing employee performance, supporting career growth, and ensuring effective team leadership, while driving internal operations management to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Engineering Field
8 or more years’ experience in a compliance related field
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Fluency in English
- Excellent written and oral English language communication skills; ability to communicate in a multicultural environment
- Demonstrates effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
- Effectively engages and communicates with all levels in the organization (including upper management)
- Strong working knowledge of global product environmental laws related to Design & Materials (i.e., EU REACH, Global RoHS, PFAS, ESPR, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
- Familiarity with product environmental/materials compliance software applications (e.g., Source Intelligence, Assent, iPoint, Greensoft, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, macros, etc.) considered a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI and PowerApps is a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and their application to governance, documentation, and continuous improvement
