Apple"s Environment \u0026 Supply Chain Innovation team is seeking an Environmental Standards Expert to represent Apple directly in the development and revision of leading climate standards — participating in ISO and IEC technical committees, as well as other industry-led efforts as they emerge.\\n\\nThe person in this seat will develop technically grounded positions on contested methodological questions, advocate for scientifically rigorous and implementable approaches, and translate external developments into actionable internal guidance. The primary focus is climate — GHG accounting, science-based target-setting, and net zero frameworks — with potential expansion to circularity and water. The role collaborates across Environmental Technologies, Facilities, Operations, Government Affairs, Finance, and Legal teams, and requires domestic and international travel to attend working group meetings.

BS/BA in environmental science, climate science, engineering, chemistry, economics, or a related technical field\\n7+ years of experience in climate or environmental roles with demonstrated technical depth in GHG accounting or science-based climate frameworks\\nDirect familiarity with the GHG Protocol, SBTi frameworks, and/or ISO 14000-series standards\\nFamiliarity with climate disclosure regulations and frameworks (e.g., TCFD, SEC climate rules, CSRD) and their relationship to voluntary standards\\nExperience participating in or closely tracking formal standards development processes — whether through ISO/IEC technical committees, industry coalitions, or NGO-led initiatives\\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to represent technical positions clearly and persuasively in multi-stakeholder settings
