Network Operations Manager
Lead the future of distributed energy in Western Australia

We're seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our growing portfolio of electrical distribution networks and renewable energy

About the Role
Reporting to the Executive – Connected Energy, you will be responsible for the operational performance of Zenith Connected Energy's electrical distribution networks, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, compliance and customer service.
You'll provide leadership across network operations while working closely with engineering, project delivery, asset management, commercial and customer teams to deliver exceptional operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of Zenith Connected Energy's microgrid and distribution network assets.
- Act as the Responsible High Voltage Person in accordance with WA regulatory requirements.
- Oversee network commissioning, handover and operational readiness of new microgrid projects.
- Manage network performance across distribution systems, protection, metering, communications, SCADA, solar PV and battery energy storage systems.
- Lead operational response to network incidents and emergency events, including participation in the 24/7 escalation process.
- Manage maintenance strategies and contractor performance to maximise network reliability and asset availability.
- Coordinate new customer connections, commissioning activities and operational acceptance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety and distribution licence obligations.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, switching manuals, emergency management plans and network documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, safety and asset performance.
- Lead operational budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
About You
You are a proactive and collaborative leader with strong technical capability and a passion for delivering safe, reliable electricity networks.
What you will bring to the role:
- Leadership experience within electricity distribution, utilities, power systems or network operations.
- Strong knowledge of WA electrical utility operations (Western Power, Horizon Power or similar highly regarded).
- Experience managing HV distribution networks, protection systems, metering, communications and SCADA.
- Experience working with remote operations and/or renewable energy assets.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across engineering, commercial and operational teams.
- Sound commercial acumen, budgeting and reporting experience.
- A continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving capability.
Essential Qualifications
- Electrical Trade qualification or Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering.
- Current WA Electrical Licence.
- National Police Clearance.
- Ability to obtain medical clearance.
- HV switching and electrical nominee experience will be highly regarded.
