The Project\:
Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New York, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You’ll Be Responsible For:
Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance.
Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and contract specifications to the environmental compliance team
Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications
Delivers commercial revenue targets aligned to the project/programme plan, requiring the translation of project/programme objectives into deliverable strategies, leading to a sustainable business for Mace in the sector.
Supports work winning through bid support, innovation, client liaison, upskilling of colleagues and external profile-raising of Mace/Mace services.
Provides technical expertise and promotes innovation in a particular area of sustainability, such as waste, energy/carbon, water, responsible sourcing of materials, sustainable buildings, etc.
Represents the company and clients in a public forum, attending internal and external events to represent and raise the profile of Mace and the practice group.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
8+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies (desirable)
Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $150k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
