Summary
This position is in Region 2, Superfund & Emergency Management Division, Program Support Branch, Risk Assessment Support Section. About Region 2: https://www.epa.gov/aboutepa/epa-region-2. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Major Duties
You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit, ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Coaching and developing employees to improve performance and provide successful technical support. Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations to ensure positive communication within and outside the Agency. Serve as a technical advisor and assistant to the Second-Level Supervisor on technical issues pertaining to site characterization, and remediation to support improved performance. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
