Summary
This position is in Office of the Regional Administrator, Region 3, Office of Public Affairs, Congressional & Intergovernmental Relations Branch. About Region 3. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Major Duties
You will: Serve as a senior specialist in Intergovernmental Affairs and the chief liaison between offices of elected officials and the Region. Coordinate all correspondence prepared in the Region, to members of Congress and other elected officials, ensuring proper agency review is conducted within established timelines. Oversee issue briefings for elected officials with the Regional Administrator's office and program experts to keep management informed of key issues and legislative activity in assigned areas. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
