ResponsibilitiesHowmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for an EHS Engineer (EHS Professional) at our Hampton, Va location. This position is a key member of the location’s EHS team and is highly visible position in the plant and Business Unit. The position provides an excellent platform for potential future growth to the successful candidate.
Salary:
Anticipated Pay Range: $85K-95K per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 3 years of Professional experience in an Environmental, safety, or health role.
- Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental, safety or health discipline.
- Professional certification such as an ASP / CSP/ CIH or ability to obtain.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated professional with passion for change and relentless focus on execution.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State EHS related regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and human relations skills.
- Ability to make difficult decisions with sometimes an incomplete set of data.
