Position Overview:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery to ensure maximum reliability and minimal downtime. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and on time. The Maintenance Planner creates and manages preventive maintenance plans, oversees work orders, coordinates with technicians and external vendors, and maintains accurate documentation of all maintenance activities. A key focus of the role is identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes, enhance equipment reliability, and support operational productivity. Core responsibilities include analyzing equipment history, determining maintenance requirements, estimating labor and material needs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Maintenance Planner works closely with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and operations teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and business objectives. Success in this role requires proficiency with CMMS systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. A high-performing Maintenance Planner contributes directly to improved equipment uptime, reduced operational costs, and long-term asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Plan and coordinate corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and engineering teams
• Create and manage work orders using CMMS software
• Create detailed job plans including required tools, materials, labor, and time estimates.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and tools for scheduled tasks.
• Coordinate with production/operations to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Review and prioritize incoming work requests.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance history.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance work and Maintenance spare parts.
• Track and report on maintenance KPIs and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation and history for all maintenance work.
• Develop and maintain spare parts storage, inventory and control.
• Raising PR for spare parts requirements.
• Analyze work order feedback and maintenance performance data to improve future plans, update equipment history, and refine maintenance techniques.
• Promote a safe work culture, including LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
• Participate in ISO audit and develop maintenance procedures.
• Implement and sustain 5S methodologies to improve housekeeping, efficiency, and equipment accessibility.
• Administrate the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by adding new assets and sub-assets (plant, location, Creating assets code,) importing maintenance tasks, and import spare parts for each assets.
• Maintain accurate data, asset history, and documentation within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Technical Diploma or associate degree in: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering with +7 Years in maintenance field, +3 Years as maintenance planner.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Equivalent is preferred with +5 Years in maintenance field, +3 Years as maintenance planner. • Experience Automotive industry is a pluse
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or similar role.
• Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a production environment.
• Valid driver’s license in Saudi Arabia. • CMRP is A plus.
