Summary
This position is located in Pinnacles National Park, in the Management Division. This position serves as the Resources Management Branch Manager at Pinnacles National Park for both cultural and natural resources.
Major Duties
The major duties of the Interdisciplinary (Scientist) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Directs and supervises an intricate program of natural, historical, and other cultural resources activities that involve sensitive and complex issues that may impact a wide variety of park issues. Develops and implements long-range plans for the inventory, evaluation, documentation, preservation, species recovery, research, and interpretation of natural, historical and other cultural resources within the appropriate mission, objectives, and resource contexts. Prepares and updates the natural and cultural resources sections of the park's plans, environmental protection plans and projects, and specific actions plans pertaining to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. Determine compliance pathways for a wide variety of park projects including categorical exclusions (CE), environmental assessments (EA), and environmental impact statements (EIS). Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes scientific information from research; monitors resources management actions including Threatened and Endangered (T&E) species recovery efforts; coordinates the proper accessioning and care of the museum collections, and prepares reports and communicates findings widely for specific projects.
