Major Duties
This position serves as a principle assistant to the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent as the Chief Ranger of the Division of Visitor and Resource Protection (VRP) at the Virgin Islands National Park and Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument. This position provides leadership and management of the VRP Division and is a key member of the park leadership team. Administers the law enforcement program, investigations, court cases, prosecutions/sentencing, coordinate with U.S. Attorney's office. Directly supervise permanent and seasonal law enforcement officers which includes establishing and monitoring evaluations, planning, and performance standards. Liaisons with local, U.S. Virgin Island government and other Federal agencies on law enforcement matters. Supervises the investigative program for the park and directs/oversees investigations.
