Summary
This position is located in Andrew Johnson National Historic Site, in the Interpretation Division. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work approximately 50 weeks per year from January - December and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
Major Duties
At the full performance level GS-05, the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Provides pre-established interpretive talks following a prescribed outline, requiring application of broad subject matter knowledge of the site's historic resources. Presents guided tours utilizing a prescribed tour outline, guiding up to 50 visitors. Staffing a park visitor center. Provides a wide range of visitor services including providing welcome/orientation information, make sales using cooperating association Standard Operating Procedures. Assists with organized school groups and participates in park and/or community special events.
