Position Summary:
- Western Middle School is currently seeking three (3) Class IV Least Restrictive Environment Paraprofessionals for the 2026-27 school year. The starting date is August 24th, 2026. This hourly position currently ranges from $15 to $18.80 per hour depending on education and experience.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate
- Successful completion of High School Proficiency Tests (all subjects)
- Demonstrate through previous work experience an ability to effectively communicate with adults and children, as well as a high degree of organizational skills, time management and collaboration.
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be willing to complete 7-9 hours of professional development throughout the school year
- Highly Qualified as per the Michigan Department of Education Guidelines
- Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hour)*; or
- Obtain an associate’s degree (or higher); or
- Meet rigorous standard of quality and of quality and demonstrate, through the passage of an approved formal state academic assessment ETS Parapro Assessment** - Online
- Passing score of 460 required
