Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced LV/HV Cable Jointer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, jointing, and termination of LV and HV power cables up to 33kV. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation of LV & HV Power Cables:
- Installation of LV (Low Voltage) and HV (High Voltage) power cables up to 33kV, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Jointing and Termination of LV & HV Cables:
- Perform jointing and termination tasks on LV and HV power cables, ensuring high-quality and reliable connections.
Testing and Fault-Finding:
- Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance and continuity tests, to verify the integrity and safety of installed cables. Assist with fault-finding and rectification when required.
HV Associated Tasks:
- Be willing to undertake other HV-related tasks, such as working on switchgear, transformers, and substation equipment, as part of a flexible and collaborative team approach.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified LV/HV Cable Jointer with relevant certifications.
- Proven experience in jointing and terminating LV/HV cables up to 33kV.
- Competence in electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- A flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake various HV-associated tasks.
