Summary
This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Division of Concessions. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 06/25/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
Major Duties
The major duties of the Concessions Management Specialist include, but are not limited to, the following: Contract management, oversight and compliance, prospectus development, with specific focus on asset management requirements. Provides direct oversight of concessioner operations, facility maintenance, environmental compliance, and risk management programs through the development, review, and evaluation of operating plans, reports, inspections, audits, and performance measures to ensure compliance with contract terms, regulations, and asset management standards. Provides leadership and oversight for facility improvement and capital investment projects by evaluating project needs, reviewing construction and compliance documentation, coordinating project implementation, and ensuring accurate documentation and integration of asset management requirements. Stakeholder engagement - serves as a liaison between the NPS, concession partners and the public. Professionally collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Supervise assigned team members as Code 4 Supervisor. Plan, assign, and review work of subordinate team. Conduct performance evaluations, set professional goals, provide coaching.
