Summary
Park Rangers perform day-to-day patrol operations to facilitate visitor understanding and enjoyment, and to induce behavior that complies with park regulations. The typical season is October-May but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Major Duties
Park Ranger Standard Duties: Perform day-to-day patrol operations to facilitate visitor understanding and enjoyment, and to induce behavior that complies with park regulations. Provides a wide range of services to visitors, including assistance with lost articles, car trouble and first aid; and provides information about weather conditions, highway routes, park and concessioner facilities, and prices. Monitors and reports on the condition of the resources of the park. Observes, documents, and maintains records of various backcountry conditions. Provides informal impromptu interpretive patio talks or walks of a single theme, operates audio video programs for park visitors.
