We are seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), combined with a strong commitment to Sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to lead and advance Emerson’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability agenda across Asia Pacific. You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to strengthen a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with Emerson’s values of innovation, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE and sustainability programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Drive risk reduction initiatives to prevent injuries, incidents, and environmental impacts while protecting people, property, and the environment.
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate HSE performance using leading and lagging indicators to support data-informed decision-making.
- Provide subject matter expertise and ownership for implementing tools, standards, training, and proven practices across the organization.
- Ensure ISO certification through effective audits and timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with leaders to embed HSE accountability and cultivate a positive, inclusive safety culture.
- Ensure new projects obtain all required HSE authorizations and permits prior to execution.
- Lead incident assessments, investigations, root cause validation, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, including energy conservation, waste minimization, emissions reduction strategies, and progress toward Net Zero goals.
- Responsibilities for Asia Pacific includes:
- Represent Asia Pacific in global HSE meetings, translate global directives into regional actions, and collaborate closely with regional and country safety committees, business units, and leadership teams.
- Harmonize and standardize Asia Pacific HSE processes, promoting collaboration and sharing of proven practices.
- Serve as Asia Pacific system administrator for HSE platform tools, software, and regulatory compliance resources, mentoring key users and supporting inspections and audits across the Asia Pacific region.
- Support and manage the relationship with the insurance carrier by addressing recommendations in line with regional priorities and driving the standardization of written programs to meet insurance requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering / Safety Science / Occupational Health or related technical field will be considered.
- 7 or more years’ experience in HSE role.
- Practical knowledge of HSE regulatory compliance and industry trends.
- Knowledge of Country general safety policies and procedures.
- Experience in auditing from an EHSS perspective is considered an advantage.
- FSM Certificate
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH (IGC or Diploma) are strongly preferred. Other internationally recognized certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) will be an advantage.
