Job Title: Solar Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Solar
Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the
complete lifecycle of solar energy projects—from site assessment, system
design, execution, and commissioning to after-sales support. The role demands
strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to
communicate with clients and stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand
client/customer requirements at the operational level and translate them
into actionable project goals.
- Conduct
site visits and feasibility assessments to determine the most suitable
solar solutions.
- Design
rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems, including layout planning,
electrical design, cable selection, schematic diagrams, and preparation of
BOQ/BOM.
- Ensure
all designs meet relevant IS standards and specifications.
- Repair
and maintenance of the solar systems.
- Prepare
and submit engineering drawings/documents for approvals and coordinate
scheduling, factory inspections, and performance validation.
- Manage
end-to-end execution of solar energy projects (Rooftop & Ground
Mounted), including AMC and service support.
- Utilize
PVsyst or similar simulation software for performance analysis and ensure
all required technical tests are conducted throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Maintain
accurate records and documentation, including estimates, pricing data from
vendors, and technical files.
- Provide
weekly/fortnightly progress and status reports.
- Develop
and manage project MIS, analyze market trends and provide actionable
insights.
- Identify
and engage potential customers for solar solutions in line with business
development goals.
- Contribute
to ongoing process improvements and assume additional roles to support the
company’s growth.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum
2 years of experience in solar project design and execution.
- A good
knowledge of electronics.
- Proficiency
in solar design tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, etc.
- Sound
knowledge of IS standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong
project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability
to travel for site visits and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working
knowledge of Microsoft Office and project tracking software.
