The Assistant Manager (Environment) is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing environmental management systems across the plant or project site. The role involves monitoring air, water, noise, and waste parameters, maintaining statutory documentation, and liaising with pollution control authorities.

Ensure compliance with environmental laws, rules, and standards (CPCB/SPCB/ISO 14001).

Handle Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate (CTO), and Environmental Clearances (EC).

Conduct and supervise regular monitoring of air, water, noise, and soil quality.

Maintain documentation such as Form V, VI, Environmental Statement, and returns filing.

Operate and monitor OCEMS, STP, ETP, and air pollution control equipment.

Liaise with regulatory bodies such as State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), MoEF&CC.

Implement and maintain ISO 14001 Environment Management System.

Coordinate with internal teams for environmental audits and inspections.

Prepare reports for environment impact assessment and sustainability initiatives.

Conduct awareness programs and training for plant staff and contractors on environmental practices.

Support green belt development and waste reduction projects.

Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
