Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose
- Provide 2nd level support for the APICS MES system across Hydro locations, ensuring stable Business As Usual (BAU) operations.
- Contribute to the implementation of APICS MES in new locations, supporting project activities from configuration to Go-Live and Hypercare.
- Act as a Functional Specialist, colaborating in activities across regions and supporting the team.
- Performe knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement across APICS- supported sites.
What you will be doing
- Provide operational support for APICS MES across multiple production sites, ensuring stable and efficient system usage
- Partner with business stakeholders, key users, and project teams to support sites throughout their APICS lifecycle, from implementation to business-as-usual operations.
- Participate in APICS MES implementation projects, including testing, configuration, user training, and go-live support.
- Support the rollout of new APICS functionalities and continuous system improvements across the organization.
- Build expertise in manufacturing processes, APICS solutions, and system integrations to support future deployments and enhancements.
- Contribute to the development of standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistent global implementation.
- Collaborate with international colleagues and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
What will make you successful?
- 3+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, or IT support environments
- Master/Bachelor/Vocational Degree
- Fluent in English is mandatory, French or Spanish a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service orientation and service-minded attitude
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking, attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in distributed teams
- Knowledge of MES systems
- Understanding of SAP integrations
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial environments is a plus
