POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Logistics Department, the Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the trucks and trailers on site at our Dundas facility.
This position is for a wash bay attendant shift could be days or afternoons. Duties include using high pressure power washer to clean trucks and trailers, Soaping and brushing of units and cleaning material from inside of trailers. Cleaning the inside of truck cabs as well as keeping the wash bay clean is also a responsibility of this position. Candidate must be willing to learn to drive straight trucks and tractor trailers in the yard and also learn to back them into the wash bay as this is a requirement of the position. When required the employee must be able to go out in a truck as a driver helper and perform the duties of the driver helper role.
Must be physically fit and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Hours of work: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Monday to Friday, with overtime when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Onsite washing and sanitizing of trucks and trailers.
- Daily log reports to be submitted at the end of each day.
- Able to work with high pressure washing equipment.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols.
- Truck washers are also responsible for entering and cleaning the interior of dump trailers when required
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid G2 driver's license
- Capable of driving and backing tractor trailers and straight trucks within yard
- AZ License an asset
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
- Focused attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
