Role context and growth opportunities

As part of the upcoming commissioning of its wind farm in Quaqtaq, TARQUTI is looking to recruit and train two (2) Wind Turbine Technicians – Level 1 into its field operations team. Selected candidates will work alongside experienced technicians who will act as mentors, in a work environment focused on learning, skill development, and the gradual acquisition of autonomy.

Position Summary
<\/div>
Under the supervision of the Lead Wind Turbine Technician – Level 3, the incumbent participates in maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on wind turbines. The role supports field operations by contributing to the proper functioning of equipment and installations, while also participating in the operational management and upkeep of site infrastructure and machinery.

Operations Support
<\/div>
ïAssist the Lead Wind Turbine Technician – Level 3 with:
<\/div>
â¢Preventive and corrective maintenance;
<\/div>
â¢Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic inspections;
<\/div>
â¢Troubleshooting and repair work.
<\/div>
ïContribute to equipment installation and commissioning.
<\/div>
ïPerform basic testing on electrical and mechanical components.
<\/div>
ïCollect and record operational and maintenance data.
<\/div>
ïUse tools, equipment, and systems appropriately (e.g., SCADA – basic level).
<\/div>
ïReport any anomalies, risks, or required interventions.
<\/div>
ïAlways Work safely and seek guidance when needed.
<\/div>

Equipment and Facilities Maintenance
<\/div>
ïParticipate in regular inspections of turbines and site installations.
<\/div>
ïDiagnose basic technical issues and escalate when required.
<\/div>
ïAssist senior technicians or OEM representatives during complex interventions.
<\/div>
Infrastructure and Machinery Maintenance
<\/div>
ïPerform general maintenance of buildings, installations, and site machinery (technical buildings, auxiliary systems, vehicles, field intervention equipment, etc.).
<\/div>
ïEnsure proper condition and operation of infrastructure and essential systems (heating, ventilation, electrical systems, mechanical systems, etc.).<\/div>
ïParticipate in routine inspection and maintenance of machinery and equipment, by reporting any anomalies or required repairs.
<\/div>
ïSupport inventory management of parts, tools, and equipment.
<\/div>
ïMaintain a safe work environment by ensuring the site is clean, organized, and compliant with applicable standards.

Field Operations and Logistics
<\/div>
ïSafely operate site equipment (service vehicles and specialized equipment).
<\/div>
ïPerform basic inspections and maintenance of equipment.
<\/div>
ïSupport field logistics, including transportation, material handling, and preparation of interventions.
<\/div>
ïEnsure compliance with health and safety standards during operations.
<\/div>
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
<\/div>
ïFollow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and standards at all times.
<\/div>
ïFollow established procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), working at heights, and confined space entry.
<\/div>
ïTake a proactive approach to risk prevention and help maintain a safe work environment.
<\/div>
ïProperly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and work tools.

Requirements<\/h3>
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
<\/div>
ïAbility to work outdoors in variable and sometimes harsh weather conditions.
<\/div>
ïExcellent physical condition required, including:
<\/div>
â¢Ability to lift and/or move up to 27.2 kg (60 lb).
<\/div>
â¢Working at heights (up to approximately 300 feet), including inside the nacelle and hub;
<\/div>
â¢Wearing a safety harness;
<\/div>
â¢Working in confined spaces.
<\/div>
ïAbility to meet required medical and physical assessments to confirm fitness for the essential duties of the position, in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Other Requirements
<\/div>
ïValid driver’s license (Class 5), required for operating vehicles and transporting equipment and materials.
<\/div>
ïFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on call (on -site or remote).

Technical Training Program
<\/div>
Each employee will benefit from a tailored technical training pathway, including:

ïProgressive on -site learning.
<\/div>
ïTraining sessions (sometimes held in Southern locations) to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge.
<\/div>
ïSpecialized training provided by the wind turbine manufacturer (Enercon).
<\/div>
Training duration and content will be adapted based on individual experience and skills. All training -related costs — including travel, accommodation, and related expenses — are fully covered by TARQUTI.

Education
<\/div>
ïHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.
<\/div>
ïTechnical training (DEP or equivalent) in maintenance, industrial mechanics, electrical work, electromechanics, or hands -on trades will be considered an asset.

ïCertification or license to operate heavy equipment (asset).
<\/div>

Experience and Knowledge

ïExperience in manual work, electrical work, mechanics, equipment or facility maintenance, or any environment requiring diligence and adherence to safety procedures.

ïInterest in renewable energy and energy transition.
