cheaper and faster deployment of renewable energy in emerging and developing
countries. Their mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by
unlocking renewable energy markets to scalable private investments at low
prices, promoting sustainable economic development for the people.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

The successful
candidate will play a key role in the strategic planning and market positioning
of the organization in Barbados and the Caribbean by acting as a key bridge
between technical project requirements and regional policy, ensuring the
organization maintains high visibility and deep -rooted connections with all key
public stakeholders.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>Duties and
Responsibilities:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/div>Acting as
the primary technical and strategic bridge between the organization and governmental/non -governmental
agencies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Providing
advice on the organization’s strategic placement within the regional market,
utilizing<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>local networks and resources
to maximize impact.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Developing
relations with public officials and other key stakeholders -regulators, utilities,
international agencies, renewable energy associations, and others - to
facilitate informed strategic decisions and help company growth objectives of
becoming a respected organization at the national and regional levels.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Coordinating
and supporting preliminary and in -depth market research in support of the
company’s core team.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Assisting
the project implementation in the country and following up on the activities to
be performed by different stakeholders, writing reports on pending issues,
assisting with periodic meetings and following up on the outcomes of such
meetings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Being the
focal point in the territory to plan communication strategies together with the
team (to serve as support to validate actions and propose some others).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>Draft
and/or review and comment on the project’s documents (Expression of Interest, publications,
letters, minutes of meetings, requests for proposals, Power Purchase
Agreements, guarantee agreements).<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Proven knowledge
of CAPP documents, as well as the Barbados & Caribbean region procurement
process documents.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Minimum of
8 years in the energy industry, with specific expertise in renewable energy
policies and power market operations (regulated and deregulated).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Knowledge
of energy regulatory frameworks, renewable energy, and energy storage.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Established
network and influence among key public and private stakeholders involved in renewable
energy procurement cycles across Barbados and the Caribbean essential.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>At least 5
years in project management or executive leadership capacity.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Thorough understanding
of the national energy agenda from both public policy and private sector
perspectives.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>Master’s
degree, preferably in fields such as Economics, Industrial Engineering, or
Renewable Energy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
