ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torquing, lubricating and wiring
· Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams
· Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes
· Utilize various hand tools and other standard tools to complete work tasks
· Utilize the proper chemicals; must be able to understand safety data and shelf-life information
· Accurately inspect the condition of incoming hardware
· Follow EHS compliance for wind turbine assembly and test
· Perform complete and accurate quality documentation
· Assist in implementation of wind turbine documentation and process improvements
· Initiate and drive process improvements
· Operate forklift and crane
· Maintain manual or computerized records
· Must Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e. lock-out/tag-out, report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Must pass background and drug screens
· Willing and able to work any shift and overtime including weekends
· Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
· Manufacturing/mechanical experience using electrical and pneumatic air hand tools
· Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories
· Complete and maintain Characteristic Verification Plan (CVP) Certification
· Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
· Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
· Follow and promote safe work practices
· Communicate effectively with others
