Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Project Development Leadership
- Lead the development and advancement of BluEarth’s U.S. renewable energy project portfolio, including utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.
- Drive projects from origination through key development milestones and transition into construction readiness.
- Develop project execution strategies, schedules, milestone plans, budgets, and risk mitigation approaches.
- Proactively identify project barriers and lead strategies to resolve development challenges.
- Maintain accountability for successful advancement of multiple concurrent projects.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a small U.S.-based development team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day project execution and advancement activities.
- Foster strong collaboration, knowledge sharing, and disciplined execution practices.
- Support talent development, succession capability, and team effectiveness.
- Partner with Development leadership on organizational priorities, resource planning, and portfolio execution.
Site Origination & Land Development
- Lead renewable project identification, feasibility evaluation, and site advancement efforts.
- Develop land strategies and support negotiation of site control agreements, landowner arrangements, and development rights.
- Support project diligence, land acquisition strategy, and opportunity evaluation.
Cross-Functional Development Execution
- Lead coordination across Regulatory & Environment, Engineering & Construction, Commercial, Transmission/Interconnection, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Operations.
- Ensure internal workstreams remain aligned to development objectives, schedules, and business priorities.
- Support technology, commercial, and execution decisions required to advance projects.
Interconnection, Transmission & Commercial Development
- Support development and execution of interconnection and transmission strategies.
- Partner with internal and external experts to assess transmission access, costs, timelines, and constraints.
- Support commercial structuring, power marketing, financing diligence, and investment decision support activities.
Stakeholder & External Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local communities, public officials, agencies, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Support public engagement efforts, project consultation activities, and agency coordination.
- Represent BluEarth in development discussions, negotiations, and stakeholder interactions.
Consultant & Budget Management
- Manage external consultants, technical advisors, and specialist resources supporting U.S. development activities.
- Establish clear scopes, timelines, deliverables, and accountability expectations.
- Manage development budgets and ensure disciplined cost oversight.
Health, Safety & Leadership
- Uphold BluEarth’s Health, Safety & Environmental standards across development activities.
- Ensure consultants and third parties operate in alignment with company expectations.
- Act as a senior ambassador for BluEarth, upholding company values and strengthening external relationships.
- Support broader acquisition, development, strategic growth, and operational initiatives as required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive renewable energy project development experience, including meaningful U.S. utility-scale development experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading development teams or mentoring project developers. Proven success advancing complex renewable energy projects through development milestones.
- Strong experience in land strategy, stakeholder engagement, interconnection, permitting coordination, and commercial project advancement.

Job Requirements
- Ability to travel within the United States and Canada.
- Ability to work extended hours, as required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Flexibility to work in various settings including office environments, remote project development sites, operating facilities, and outdoors (with exposure to various weather conditions).
