Summary
This position is located in Lake Mead National Recreation Area, in the Communications and Dispatch Branch within the Visitor and Resource Protection Division.
Major Duties
Major Duties Include: Supervises the staff in the Interagency Communications Center and is responsible for day-to-day operations. Provides and evaluates training for staff. Receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service on a daily basis. Directs personnel and equipment to emergency medical, law enforcement and fire incidents. Uses multi-channel voice and compute data systems to monitor situations to properly direct and allocate officers and ranger where and when needed. Provides a latitude/longitude or a Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) location. Operates a number of public safety computer networks.
