About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Lead to provide expert environmental leadership across both our mining and pigment operations in the South‑West of Western Australia.
Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, this role partners closely with operations teams, regulators and community stakeholders to ensure strong environmental performance, regulatory compliance and continual improvement across diverse operating environments.
You will lead the implementation and ongoing improvement of environmental management systems, oversee environmental monitoring programs, support risk assessments and management of change processes, and coordinate regulatory reporting, inspections and stakeholder engagement.
The role also leads environmental incident response and investigations, drives sustainability and stewardship initiatives, and coaches operational teams to build strong environmental awareness, accountability and sustainable practices, playing a key role in protecting the environment while supporting safe and compliant operations.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in environmental management within mining, minerals processing or heavy industry
- Strong working knowledge of Western Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to work across multiple sites and engage with diverse operational teams
- Experience with environmental audits, approvals, compliance reporting and monitoring programs
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
- Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
