As the Supplier Decarbonization Program Manager within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to help Amazon achieve its sustainability and Net Zero Carbon goals. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with diverse stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles into the delivery and operations of both existing and new products and services.
The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of Scope 3 emissions, sustainable design and construction, and project management, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent problem-solving skills. Success in this fast-paced, technical environment demands a self-starter mindset, analytical aptitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies and measures to reduce, measure, and report carbon reduction strategies in support of Net Zero Carbon,
• Provide Category Managers with technical information about embodied carbon reduction within specific procurement categories,
• Collaborate with stakeholders and category managers to identify cost effective strategies for improving sustainability in the construction and operations of Amazon buildings,
• Educate suppliers, stakeholders, and Category Managers about Amazon’s sustainability goals,
• Assist Category Managers to understand and implement carbon reporting across GPO Procurement categories,
• Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously,
• Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders,
• Support Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Design projects,
• Support Category Managers in procuring bill of materials and Environmental Product Declarations in bid/new builds,
• Assist in developing contract terms for low carbon building materials such as concrete, steel with recycled content, and other materials.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
