A Fabrication Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all fabrication operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, timely delivery, and strict adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and coordination skills to handle teams, processes, and resources effectively within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all fabrication activities to meet production targets
- Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Manage and coordinate teams of fabricators, welders, and technicians
- Allocate work, handle shift planning, and provide training to the team
- Ensure optimal use of manpower, machines, and materials
- Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks efficiently
- Maintain quality standards and minimize defects, rework, and wastage
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and compliance
- Enforce safety regulations, PPE usage, and conduct risk assessments
