Summary
This position is located in Reconstruction Era National Historical Park, in the Interpretation Division. Open to the first 100 applicants or until 05/27/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
Major Duties
As a Park Ranger (Interpretation), you will perform the following duties: Develops and presents guided walks, illustrated talks (guided walks, amphitheater and campfire programs), and demonstrations. Conducts basic research of topics for the purpose of providing interpretive programs. Develops programs through topic research, familiarity with creative use of delivery techniques. Provides informal interpretation and orientation for park guests in visitor centers, ranger stations and while roving in the field. Informs visitors about park facilities and resources. Promotes the safety of park visitors and stewardship of park resources. Operates a variety of audiovisual and other equipment in connection with presenting interpretive material. Provides assistance with one-time or annual celebrations and assist in the operations of special events. Serves as liaison for the park to the public and park Associations.
